The Last of Us 2 continues to break records in awards. The most recent was the BAFTA Game Awards, in which the Naughty Dog game was nominated for a total of 13 different categories this Tuesday (2). The nominations follow the successful trend of the PlayStation (PS4) exclusive, which even beat The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the title post that received the most game awards of the year.

Brazil Game Awards (BGA)

Launched in June last year, the sequel to the franchise starring Ellie was voted the best game of 2020 at The Game Awards, an event considered the “Oscar of the games”. In addition, it won the national Brazil Game Awards (BGA) and hundreds of other specialized vehicle awards as well.

British Academy Film Awards

Held since 2004 by the British Academy Film Awards, the BAFTA Game Awards rewards the best games of the last year. There are categories dedicated to design, audio, new franchises and individual performance by actors and voice actors.

Among its 13 nominations, The Last of Us Part II competes for best animation, best audio, technical achievement, best design and, also, for the top prize, which chooses the best game of 2020. Its competitors are Ghost of Tsushima, Hades, Call of Duty: Warzone, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Valoran
