What’s more fascinating is that he set this record by defeating Kim Bub-Min, another top-notch South Korean archer. Besides the aforementioned records, Im Hyun has also clinched eight world championship titles.

Kim Soo Nyung is deemed the greatest archer of all time. The South Korean archer has many accolades under her belt, which makes her worthy of the title. She has won a total of six Olympic medals. She took retirement from professional archery in 1992 to get married, and seven years later, she made an epic comeback. A year after her comeback, she won the Bronze medal in Sydney.

Besides faring exceptionally well in the Olympics, Kim Soo Nyung has also clinched four world championship gold medals. Moreover, she also clinched a bronze medal at the Asian Games.

Although the archery prodigy has numerous feathers in her cap, the most prominent one still remains the International Archery Federation recognizing her as the “Female Archer for the 20th Century”. She is an inspiration to millions of aspiring archers around the globe.
